- Your site is reviewed and listed within 2 days(usually quicker);
- Link appears at the very top of the subcategory you have chosen;
- Your link appears with a brightly coloured background so it stands out from other links on the page;
- You can submit Deep Links - ie. links to individual pages on your site (eg. http://www.somedomain.com/importantpage.htm)

- Your site is reviewed and listed within 5 days (usually quicker!!);
- Your listing does NOT include the NoFollow attribute;

- Your listing DOES include the NoFollow attribute;
- Because of the nofollow attribute your listing here is of lesser importance in relation to Search Engine Marketing and SERPS;
- Due to the free nature of this listing type there is likely to be mass submissions, hence a lot of sites to review. There is no guarantee that your site will be listed using a Free listing;
- Your listing is queued for low priority review, after Regular and Featured (first priority);
- It may take up to 6 months or longer to review your listing;

What is the 'nofollow' attribute?
According to Wikipedia
"nofollow is an HTML attribute value used to instruct some search engines that a hyperlink should not influence the link target's ranking in the search engine's index. It is intended to reduce the effectiveness of certain types of search engine spam, thereby improving the quality of search engine results and preventing spamdexing from occurring."
A link using the attribute rel=”nofollow” is not completely useless, visitors can still visit your web site through a link using this attribute, however you will be losing out when it comes to link popularity and search engine rankings. |
